Who runs the program
The School is run by AETHER Group (SIREN 104 445 424), 66 Av. des Champs-Élysées, 75008 Paris, France. For any question about the program, write to aethercustomersupport@gmail.com.
Ambassadors
Some students hear about The School from an ambassador: a student who introduces the program around them and receives a commission on the registrations that follow, as an independent introducer. Ambassadors do not work for Aether and cannot speak for it: only these terms and the pages of this site describe what The School is, what it costs and what you get. Nothing an ambassador says or writes adds to that or changes it.
If an ambassador told you something different, or contacted you in a way you did not want, write to aethercustomersupport@gmail.com: Aether looks into every report, and can cancel a registration obtained that way and refund you in full.
What the program is
The School is an online program of 3 modules that you work through at your own pace, about 3 hours in total. There is no timetable, no live session and nothing to attend. You build your own AI agent on a real task of your choosing, and you get feedback on it if you submit it for review (optional: a working AI agent that runs end to end on a real task, submitted for review before your 6-month access period ends).
Once you have passed the final exam and signed the certificate agreement, you receive an Aether Certificate of Completion. Submitting your project is not required for it, and neither is validating the modules: they and the practice questions are there to prepare you. The final exam is an online multiple-choice paper covering the three modules (20 questions, 30 minutes, scored out of 100, 75 to pass), sat in a monitored session: leaving the exam tab or window, copying or pasting, and leaving full screen are recorded with your paper. You can sit it whenever you like, with or without the modules, and retake it straight away, with no limit on the number of attempts. The session record is kept with your paper, and a certificate obtained through misconduct can be withdrawn by Aether after you have been heard.
After the final exam, you read and sign the Certificate Holder Agreement (signed by typing your full name, and drawing your signature if you can). The certificate is issued the moment your signature is recorded. There is nothing to pay for it: the student price covers it.
The modules work in a recent web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge), on a computer, a tablet or a phone, with nothing to install and nothing to download. The final exam needs a screen wide enough to read the questions and a stable connection for its 30 minutes.
Independence and academic credit
Select your university to check your eligibility for the student offer. This program is run independently by Aether. It is not organized by any university, it does not award academic credit.
The Aether Certificate of Completion is a private certificate issued by Aether. It is not an academic credential and carries no university credit.
Who can register
Registration is open to people aged 18 or older who are current students with a valid student email address from one of the universities listed in the registration form. A personal address (Gmail, Outlook and the like) is refused. An address that does not match the university's own email domains, when Aether knows them, is accepted and noted for a check. The student rate is for students, and that address is how Aether checks it.
Price and payment
The corporate rate of the program is €730 per seat, including VAT: what companies pay Aether for it. Students pay the student rate of €30, including VAT, paid once by card, through the Aether student programme: €700 less than the corporate rate. It covers access to all three modules for 6 months, the review of your project, if you submit one, and your Aether Certificate of Completion once you have earned it. There is nothing more to pay.
On /school-ai, the page for students who register from the United States, the same program is sold in dollars: a student rate of $45, tax included, against a corporate rate of $730 per seat, $685 less. Everything else in these terms applies in the same way.
Your right to withdraw
You have 14 days from the day you register to change your mind, with no reason to give and no penalty. Write to aethercustomersupport@gmail.com within that period and Aether refunds what you paid in full. You can use the model withdrawal form or any other clear statement: an email is enough.
Your access opens on your cohort's start date, within three days of your registration, and that does not take your right away: you keep the full 14 days once your access is open, whatever you have read or done in the modules. If you withdraw after your access has opened, your access closes and you are refunded in full. The law would let Aether ask you to give up this right in exchange for immediate access; Aether does not ask for that.
Refunds
You have 14 days from your registration to cancel and get what you paid back in full, with no reason to give, even if your access has already opened. Aether also refunds in full, with no request needed, if it cancels your intake. The full policy is on the refund policy page.
Intakes
Aether may close or cancel an intake for a serious reason, for example too few registrations to run it or an event beyond its control. If Aether cancels an intake, every registered student is refunded in full.
Your access to the modules
Registrations are organised in cohorts that start every three days. Your access opens on your cohort's start date, at most three days after you register. You have 6 months from the day your access opens to work through the modules. There is no schedule and nothing to attend. What earns you the Aether Certificate of Completion is passing the final exam and signing the certificate agreement, before your access period ends. The modules and the practice questions are there to prepare you: you can sit the exam whenever you feel ready, with or without them. Submitting your AI agent for review is optional.
The modules are yours to watch as often as you like while your access lasts. Your access is personal: you may not share it, and you may not download, copy or republish the material. Aether may improve the modules (corrections, updated examples, new exercises). What you registered for stays the same: three modules on the same subjects, about three hours, the practice questions and the final exam. If Aether ever had to replace the programme by something different, you could end your registration and be refunded in full.
Legal guarantee of conformity
The modules are digital content. French consumer law (article L211-2 and D211-3 of the Code de la consommation) requires the following notice to be reproduced in these terms. The French wording is the official one; this is its translation.
The consumer is entitled to the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears within two years of the supply of the digital content or digital service. For one year from the date of supply, the consumer only has to establish that the lack of conformity exists, not when it appeared.
The legal guarantee of conformity includes the obligation to supply every update needed to keep the digital content or digital service in conformity.
The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the digital content or digital service brought into conformity without undue delay after their request, free of charge and without major inconvenience to them.
The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the digital content or digital service, or may end the contract and be refunded in full against giving up the digital content or digital service, if: 1° the trader refuses to bring the digital content or digital service into conformity; 2° bringing it into conformity is unjustifiably delayed; 3° it cannot be brought into conformity without costs imposed on the consumer; 4° bringing it into conformity causes a major inconvenience to the consumer; 5° the lack of conformity persists despite the trader's unsuccessful attempt to remedy it.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to the termination of the contract when the lack of conformity is so serious that an immediate price reduction or termination is justified. The consumer is then not required to ask first for the digital content or digital service to be brought into conformity.
Where the lack of conformity is minor, the consumer is only entitled to cancel the contract if the contract does not provide for a price to be paid.
Any period during which the digital content or digital service is unavailable in order to be brought back into conformity suspends the remaining guarantee period until the digital content or digital service is supplied again in conformity.
The rights above result from articles L. 224-25-1 to L. 224-25-31 of the French Code de la consommation.
A trader who obstructs the legal guarantee of conformity in bad faith is liable to a civil fine of up to 300,000 euros, which may be raised to 10 % of its average annual turnover (article L. 242-18-1 of the Code de la consommation).
The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Code civil, for two years from the discovery of the defect. That guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the digital content or digital service is kept, or to a full refund against giving it up.
Conduct
Aether reviews your project and answers your questions. Students are expected to be respectful of the Aether team and of other students, and not to share their access.
Aether may close the access of a student who shares their account, cheats in the final exam or harasses the team or other students, after asking them to explain. Except in a case of fraud or cheating established after the student has been heard, Aether refunds the part of the price that corresponds to the access period not used.
Ownership of the agent you build
The agent you build is yours. You keep full ownership of your final project and you are free to use it, show it and build on it after the program. Aether may ask your permission before showcasing your project, and will never use it without it.
No promise of results
The School is a training program. It does not promise a job, an internship, an interview or any specific outcome.
Liability
Aether answers for the harm caused by its own failures, as the law provides. It does not answer for what results from your own choices, your equipment or your connection, or from an event beyond anyone's control. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumer-protection law gives you.
Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong, write to aethercustomersupport@gmail.com with your registration reference, the code starting with ECO on your confirmation page. Aether aims to answer within 5 business days.
You remain free, at any time, to use the remedies available under the consumer-protection law of your country of residence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of France. This does not deprive a student resident elsewhere of the protection given by the law of their own country of residence.
Language
These terms exist in English, French and Spanish, and each version is a complete text of its own. The version that binds you is the one of the page you registered on: the French text for a registration made on /ecole, the Spanish text for /escuela, the English text for /school and /school-ai. If a translation ever differs from the text you accepted, the text you accepted applies.
Changes to these terms
Aether may update these terms. The version that applies to a registration is the version accepted at the time of that registration, recorded with the registration. Every version keeps its number and its date and stays readable at this address with its number added after ?version=, so that you can re-read exactly what you accepted.
